This course will focus on increasing
students’ English vocabulary,
colloquial expressions, and critical
thinking through watching sitcoms,
videos, and discussions on issues
relevant to students’ life.
Understanding culture and learning
about idioms and useful expressions
are necessary for developing the
necessary oral language skills in
second language as well as for
critical thinking. In class,
students will watch movie clips and
sitcoms and participate in class and
group discussions, listening and
speaking practices, role plays, and
script writing.
